“DEL SUELO AL CIELO” is nothing more than a desire to give another special dimension, defy equilibrium, play with the classic and tradition harmonies, and elevate imagination to its limits. Is a wish to let land go, or earthly matters, and tie the strings the hold the corporeal and tangible to the ethereal fantasy and illusion.
ULTRAMARINO is a tribute of landscape as main character of Venezuelan’s culture and personality. This proposal is supported by watching the behavior of the human being’s structure under water. Light and water movement blur the shape modifying its structure to the point where it can be mistaken by an aquatic scenery.
Here is not the human who transforms nature, is nature who shapeshifts its appearance merging it into its own physiognomy. Every living thing is a part and a consequence of the environment it grown in. Our behavior, customs, personality, our unconsciousness are affected and determined by our familiar special reality.
SWIMMERS is an approach to the most basic human instinct. As social beings, people group in herds uniformed in appearance and spirit, lacking of reason, discrimination, individual thought, capacity to organize and self survival instinct. Even though, human shoals do not feel oppressed or unhappy. They coexist and move from one place to another in pacific and happy processions melting in the landscape because they are also consequence of a cultural heritage. They subordinate to one or more leaders, humans or super-humans, who establish the collective destiny sometimes in arbitrary ways. Nothing different to a herd of cows, or a shoal of sardines.
